Brick Pointing

The reworking of the masonry cement between the brick or stone used to hold it in place is known as Pointing. The reason this can be an issue is that over time, weather and other decay causes voids in the joints. The gaps between bricks, allows the undesirable entrance of water. When water gets in through these voids it can cause damage especially during frost and unpleasant weathering, the added issues of salt dissolution and deposition. We are specialists in brick repointing, carrying out all the work to both traditional and modern repointing of brick and stone structures. We make sure that the brickwork is always worked to the best standards and we do not rush the work. We work throughout the North West and specialise in historical buildings.

I contacted The Pointing Team to give me some advice and help with explaining what needed to be done on the outside walls of my house. They came out did a full evaluation of the structure told me what needed and broke down how long it would take and cost to fix. I was very happy with everything he told me not just the knowledge he had but the way he approached the situation and solution. Not only is my house safe and fixed but it is amazing how much better it looks and makes me feel coming home and into the house. A well worth thing to do as this is the biggest investment I have and well worth the small upgrade.

    • So knowledgable and provided the best solution that worked best with the building and looks great
